Unless explicitly stated on the documentation for a method, the accepted Web API call content types are:

application/json

Calls using any other content type (ex: text/plain) are not supported.

TeamDynamix.Api.Cmdb.ConfigurationItem.BackingItemID

The ID of the underlying TeamDynamix item in the system that this configuration item represents.

In the case of system-maintained configuration items, this will have the ID of the underlying item, such as an asset or service ID, that this configuration item represents.

The specific type of underlying item can be identified using the BackingItemType property.

In the case of configuration items that are not system-maintained, this will be functionally equivalent to the ID.
