Unless explicitly stated on the documentation for a method, the accepted Web API call content types are:

application/json

Calls using any other content type (ex: text/plain) are not supported.

The ID of the owning group associated with the configuration item.

The ID of the owning group associated with the configuration item. This value is 0 for Assets, as only standalone Configuration Items and Services can be owned/managed by a group.
